Pulse is a copper cable that carries the typical "copper" sound while still capable of delivering excellent clarity despite the warmth.
The low to mid-range is full and bold, and the vocals are sweet.
Longer sustain? If you have experience with the flagship Sony DAPs, you'll understand how the sustain is way much longer on the 1z when compared to the 1a, this phenomenon is also applicable here with the Pulse Extreme. The sustain is longer, and the rhythm of the music just sounds more "steady."
